The Minister of Immigration has the authority to grant permanent residence to foreign
nationals residing in Canada keeping in mind their circumstances and the best interest of
their child/ren, if any.
In order to request permanent residence on humanitarian and compassionate grounds,
you need to make a strong application with supporting documents demonstrating that
you should be exempted from the requirement to apply for permanent residence from
outside Canada and your circumstances justify granting you and your family, if any,
Canadian permanent residence.
The government document checklist does not specifically state which documents you
need to proof your case since everyone's situation is different. Hence, you need an
immigration lawyer with strong experience to guide and advise you in regards to your
humanitarian and compassionate application for permanent residence.
We have over 15 years of experience representing clients pertaining to this type of
application and have a very strong track record of success in almost all our humanitarian
and compassionate applications*.
