| Interview preparation guide for visitor applicants: What you need to know to be successful at your interview
|
Every year, many applications are approved without an interview by visa officers at Canadian embassies around the world. This is usually the case when visa officers believe that the information on the application and the documents submitted is complete, truthful and accurate and the applicant has established his or her case.
Visa officers have the discretion to determine whether an applicant will be interviewed or not. Applicants who are called in for interview or receive a letter giving them a date and time for the interview should not panic, be afraid or scared. Interviews should be seen as an opportunity to address any concern/s that the visa officer has.
This publication explains in simple language what you need to know to be successful at your interview and what you can expect during the interview
